Mediterranean Plants

Here at Plants Delivered we have always had a keen interest in Mediterranean plants.  This is partly owing to the climate here in Essex which is dry and relatively mild compared with the rest of the UK and a key feature of a Mediterranean plant is that they are mostly drought tolerant; usually having a mass of roots to enable them to 'search' for water. 'Mediterranean plants' is a term we have come to use for a plant that is generally sun loving and drought tolerant and generally grows in abundance in the Mediterranean, but strictly speaking doesn't necessarily truly originate from there.
